Privacy Policy

HoopLogic is built to help you track a player’s basketball stats and share them, with privacy as the default. This page explains what information the app collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account info: your email address, used to sign you in (magic link, Google, or Apple).
• Player profile info: display name, birth year, position(s), jersey number, team name(s), and an optional profile photo.
• Game and stat data you enter: competitions, games, and every stat you track or type in.
• Basic usage analytics to keep the app working well. These never include personal information.

Birth date and age

A player’s full birth year is stored privately and is only ever used to compute an age group (e.g. U14). It is never shown publicly, and only the birth year is collected. An exact date of birth is never taken.

Who can see what

Player profiles are private by default. There is no direct messaging between users. No school, city, exact location, or full name is ever shown publicly. If you create a Squad, only approved members can see that player’s name and chosen stats. Age-group Rankings are off by default and must be explicitly turned on by a parent/guardian for any player under 18. Only a first name, last initial, age group, and province/state are shown.

Players under 13

A player under 13 can only exist as a profile under a parent or guardian’s account, never as a standalone login. Creating that profile requires a parent/guardian to review and record consent, with a timestamp, before the profile is created.

Where your data lives

Data is stored with Supabase, a hosted database and authentication provider, using row-level security so an account can only ever read or write its own data.

Ads

HoopLogic does not currently show ads. If ads are introduced in the future, they will be non-personalized and child-safe, and will never appear during live game tracking or on a share card.

Your choices

From Profile & Settings you can export a player’s full data as a CSV file, or permanently delete it, at any time.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
